ServicesActivities take place in the gym and indoor tennis court with treatment rooms at Fried Farm adjacent to Innisfree Village, a life sharing residential community with adults with intellectual disabilities. Sessions are scheduled by appointment. Adult individuals may participate as day timers at Innisfree (as space is available) and enjoy lunch there by making direct arrangements with Innisfree. No lodging is provided on site. Area motels and hotels can be found on the web.

Qualified applicants should be able to:

  • Climb stairs
  • Understand and follow simple instructions
  • Maintain appropriate behavior in an athletic environment
  • Perform life skills independently
  • Have a parent or other responsible party present during the evaluation and training
  • Have a parent or other responsible party continue the program at home

Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning

ServicesPhysical therapists are health care professionals who maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and health, thus allowing all ages to achieve optimal physical function and quality of life. Physical therapists ensure patient safety and apply evidence-based treatments leading to safe, efficient, and effective care. Further, physical therapists promote health, wellness, and fitness through identifying risk factors and implementing services to reduce risk, slow the progression of or prevent functional decline and disability, and enhance participation in chosen activities.

Certified strength and conditioning specialists (CSCSs) are professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs, and provide guidance regarding nutrition and injury prevention.
